FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is dutching?

Backing several selections in the same event so that you make the same profit whichever of them wins. £100 dutched across 3.00, 4.00 and 6.00 means stakes of £44.44, £33.33 and £22.22, returning £133.33 if any of them wins.

Is dutching a guaranteed profit?

No — unlike arbitrage, you usually leave some outcomes uncovered. If none of your selections wins, you lose the total stake.

Can I dutch for a target profit?

Yes. To make £50 profit if any of the three selections above wins, you need a total stake of £150.00.

What is the difference between dutching and arbitrage?

The math is the same. Arbitrage covers every possible outcome (so it only works when the prices total under 100%); dutching covers only the outcomes you choose.
